An Evening at The Italian Table with Elizabeth Minchilli

THE ITALIAN TABLE: CREATING FESTIVE MEALS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS is well-known food writer Elizabeth Minchilli’s latest book. Through her evocative words and inspirational images, each chapter captures a specific meal as she experienced it in Italy. She shares menus and recipes, as well as insights, into food traditions and celebrations, to make this charming book a practical resource for cooking and entertaining. Step-by-step guidance — meal plans, table top advice and resources — let readers recreate these joyous occasions in their own home.

CT in association with The Book Cellar will be hosting a book signing and prix fixe dinner with the menu selected by Elizabeth from dishes in her book. We will be taking reservations for the evening beginning at 5:30pm with the last seating at 9:00pm. Guests will have the option to select meal, any number of signed books as well as option wine pairing for the menu. CT's full bar and wine list will be available for the evening as well.

Menu is $82 pp (includes tax and service) and includes a signed copy of the The Italian Table by Elizabeth Minchilli.

Additional guests may be added to the primary reservation (excludes book) for $40 pp (plus tax and service) and additional books may be purchased for $30 (plus tax).

An optional sommelier wine pairing is $20 pp (plus tax and service).

Elizabeth Minchilli has written about food, style, and culture from her home in Italy for the past 25 years. Her website, Elizabeth Minchilli in Rome (elizabethminchilli.com), won a Saveur Blog Award for Best Culinary Coverage, an Italy Magazine Best Food Blog Award, and was named The Culture Trip Local Favorite. Elizabeth is the author of eight books, including Eating My Way Through Italy, and the founder of the Eat Italy app. Her books, blogs, apps, and food tours have been praised by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Travel & Leisure, NPR, The Huffington Post, Condé Nast Traveler, and more.

Moccagatta Wine Event with Guest Sommelier Martina Minuto

Guest sommelier and winemaker Martina Minuto will join Ceres’ Table on Friday, November 13 to showcase vintage wines from her renowned, family-owned Italian winery. The wines will include two Chardonnays, and three vintages of the winery’s prized Cru Barbaresco Bric Balin. All wines will be featured by the glass and also in smaller tasting portions so guests can “mix and match” to create their own wine pairings or flights. To interested guests, Martina will speak about the featured wines, the family winery and life in Italy’s Piedmont region.

As a member of the family’s third generation, Martina helps support Moccagatta, one of the finest wine producers in Piedmont. Established in 1952, the estate produces in extremely favorable ground soils and climate conditions, combined with traditional winemaking practices to produce the highest quality wines available for tasting at Ceres’ Table.

Chef Craig Degel will also offer a specialized four-course tasting menu featuring his regionally authentic Italian cuisine for a perfectly wine-paired meal. The full tasting menu includes:

Italian Wine Dinner with the Wines of Le Fraghe

Based in the Veneto region of Northern Italy, Le Fraghe Winemaker Matilde Poggi will join guests at Ceres’ Table for a 6-course dinner featuring wines from her winery paired with Chef Giuseppe Scurato’s Italian-inspired fare.

Guests at the dinner will be able to taste three unique Le Fraghe wines.

Le Fraghe is located in the heart of the Bardolino production region with Monte Baldo and Lake Garda to the north. The property and the 15th-century stone farmhouse have been in Matilde's family since 1880.

Italian Wine Dinner with the Wines of La Stoppa

We invite you to an exciting evening of exploration and learning through the wine and cuisine of the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. On Wednesday, February 25, we will host an intimate five-course dinner featuring wines from the award-winning Italian winery, La Stoppa with winery representative Nico Sciackitano.

La Stoppa is a historic estate with its vineyards stretching down the slopes of Val Trebbia in the province of Emilia, where the winemakers have dedicated the property to organic farming and traditional winemaking methods. Guests of the dinner will be able to taste the passion and history of the Italian winery through the featured wines while gathered around the our communal Vintner’s Table.
